Triumph herald 1360 convertible
in need of work to be put back on the road

Original colour yellow

Bought this car with all the intentions of
rebuilding it but just have not got the time. And I now need to vacate the
garage space.

Number plate valued at £600   on the DVLA website  TEL623H you can check it for your self.

 

The car was a runner when I purchased it
over 1 year ago. But I am now selling it as a non runner as it has been stored
for over 1 year in the garage.

The chassis and out riggers seem to be fine,
drivers floor and boot floor needs welding the callipers have been removed to
move freely 1 front tyre is flat.

The parts are all their 99.9 % only 1
indicator missing and have many other extra parts. all chrome fitting are
present in the boot

This would make a great project.

This is up for auction with no buy it now
and no reserve.

1933 Humber 16/60 hp Salloon, only 2 Carefull owners from new and only 16,800 miles from new, guaranteed, chassis no. 16-2826, engine no.2850, the spirit of exctasy radiator mascot ( radiator coupon car) this car is so rare and a very desirable motor car in its day; and for a 79 yr old car it drives excellently and is very enjoyable to use.All the leather, wood and carpets are origional & in excellent condition & everything works.The underneath is excellent, never welded, no rust anywhere!, the bodywork is origional & in pristine condition.VIEWING IS ESSENTIAL!This is a rare chance to invest your money, & receive much pleasure, stopping the traffic wherever it goes, truely magical!!!This rubber-mounted power unit went into an x-braced chassis equipped with Bendix Brakes. The 16/60 and snipe were extensively restyled for 1934, making the 33 models among the rarest of 1930s Humbers.Presented in exceptionally origional condition. The engine bay retains the jack, oil can & wheel brace in origional brackets, while the sunroof, windows, rear picnic trays & folding footrests are all in working order.A trunk for mounting on the rear luggage rack is included, origional documents include the humber guarantee, a 16/60 instruction book & operating instructions for the electric lighting & starting equipment, Lucas coil ignition & Luvax shock absorbers.There is also a book of advice on tyres for Humbers & a copy of the 1932 highway code, in excellent & origional condition.This rare Humber salloon is offered with duplicate old-style logbook, current MOT certificate & swansea V5.Founded as a bicycle maker in 1868, Humber later became associated with Harry Lawson's British Motor Syndicate.Freeing itself from the unscrupulous Lawson, the reconstructed company commenced motor car production in 1900 with the unconventional (front-wheel drive, rear-wheel steered) M D Voiturette.A more conventional range of De Dion-powered light cars soon followed, which was notable for its use of shaft drive in an era when chain was the norm for such vehicles.Four-cylinder 12hp & 20hp models designed by Louis Coatalen had been added by 1903 but that years most significant introduction was the lightweight Humberette, the first Humber Motor car to be produced in significant numbers.By the time the founder Thomas Humber's death in 1910 his company had established a reputation for quality that would endure well into the 1930's.In 1932 Humber was taken over by the Rootes Group, which also acquired Humber-owned Hillman.From then onwards Humber products were aimed at the upper reaches of the market while Hillman catered for the masses.Derived from the preceding 16/50 and introduced in 1933, the 16/60 was powered by a new seven-main-bearing sidevalve engine displacing 2,276cc whie the closely related Snipe came with one of 3,498cc.I challenge you to find another in this condition & mileage, Thats what makes this car unique.
