Here we have my very 1966 series 1 mk2 cortina 2 door delux model which has undergone a full restoration to the bodywork inside and out, It was originaly blue but i decided to change it to ermine white as i intended to turn it into a lotus rep, the restoration was all done to a very high standard with no expence spared it had original ford steel front wings fitted, new rear arches, new top plates and a rust free bonnet, the floor pans and sills are all perfect and have been fully undersealed, there is no rust on this shell at all.

The engine is a 1500cc brand new ford crated engine 5 crank bearing with 6 bolt flywheel the head was removed before fitting and converted to unleaded by gosneys engineering, it has a 4 branch gt manifold and exhaust system and gt carb fitted

It is fitted with 4 x minilite wheels with matching tyres

It was fitted with new front and rear windscreen rubbers and a new roof lining.

The interior is all complete the front seats and dash top could do with retrimming

Mot until september and the road tax is august but is tax exempt (free)

can be driven home with no problems

With a heavy heart, and the chance of buying and owning something that really ticks the boxes for me and have been after, and if i can raise the funds i will be buying it, so with that on my mind i have decided to put this up for sale and see if it happens.There are loads of pictures and updates on my thread in projects and restorations with over 50+ pictures. Car just need rolling road set up, and will be ready to use, brief specShell:Fully seam welded, and strengthened shell, shell is absoltely mint and not been on the road since total rebuild.


Including Seam and stitch welded, gussetted, and new metal throughout, then Painted inside and out and underneath. also fitted a custom made fit for purpose New exhaust tunnel and gearbox tunnel to take (S2000 running gear) Fibreglass arched front wings, and rear arched extensionsSuspension Fully Rebuilt Leda: 1/4 coilovers fully adjustable bump and rebound front legs. New Rose jointed top mounts. unused since rebuildRear: New 260LBS springs Gaz 20 point adj rear shocks.Brakes:New Front New wilwood dynalite calipers and vented discs. new DS2000 padsRear: New Cosworth rear disc conversion.Wheels: New 8 x 15 ML compromotives with new 195/50/15 Maxxis tyres (I think)Axle: 4.4 CWP rebuilt and Strenthened axle by Sonny Howard . Full rebuild uprated halfshafts and checked and proloads re set LSD unsed since rebuild.Inside: New Quick Suede Sparco steering wheel with quick release boss. Lotus sunbeam clocks.Full S/D rollcage with single diagonal.


New bias peddel box including hyd clutch.Seats: 2 x New(old stock) Blue and Black large cobra bucket Seats. 2 x New Blue 5 point quick release harnesses.Standard rear seat.Engine: Only had 21000 mile, Honda S2000 engine. Painted rocker cover and machined Spark plug cover.


New AT Power 52mm Throttle bodies. VXR injectors,


New fuel pressure regulator,


New belts and senors where needed, and new oil filter and platinum spark plugs. Gearbox: Standard 6 speed box with new clutch bearing, clutch fork, and slave cylinder.Exhaust: Brand New long life custom made 2 1/2 inch stainless exhaust system, quick release (2 x bolts) Bonnet has a GTIR scoop on the front done really well and painted to match the car, I also have a standard fibreglass bonnet that is vented really well and look s the part.ECU - Brand new Loom new Vtec 3D ECU and all wired up and running.Fuel system: Ned Red top lift pump, Swirl pot.


New 044 Cosworth fuel pump. All in the boot and fuel line run through the car.I have had both front and rear bumpers and bumpers and Irons powder coated.


I have 2 x good second hand front lights and indicators. Lotus front badge on the front grill.All in all this car will make an excellent trackday car, and will be an awesome machine when finished.


I can finish the car and have it mapped and then sell it but have the chance to buy a car i have been after for years It also has a new GRP4 alloy radiator, and all water pipes Plumbed in. You will not find a cleaner stronger Sunbeam anywhere, this car is mint and is as clean underneath as it is outside.


 


The car is on the button and starts and runs, will drive.


Has a new custom propshaft made, and also a purpose set of 10mm HT leads
