Model HistoryThe Rolls-Royce 20/25 built between 1929 and 1936 succeeded the 20hp as Rolls-Royce's "small car". It was intended to appeal to owner drivers but many were sold to customers with chauffeurs. Only the chassis and mechanical parts were made by Rolls-Royce. The body was made and fitted by a coachbuilder selected by the owner. Amongst the most famous coachbuilders who produced bodies for Rolls Royce cars are Park Ward, Thrupp & Maberly, Mulliner, Windovers and Hooper.Interior & EquipmentThe interior of this stunning Rolls-Royce is beautiful throughout having light grey leather with lovely patina, new navy wool carpets throughout, large sliding sunroof, all original clocks and switches, new headlining, rear blind, immaculate walnut dash. The boot has all the original tools and jack stored away in the individual compartments within the floor recess.ExteriorBeautiful dark grey over light grey paintwork, stunning brightwork throughout with rare sports chrome body mouldings which look stunning showing the beautiful lines of this excellent example, lovely panel fit throughout each and every panel opens and closes perfectly, rare rear folding away hidden luggage rack in perfect working order. The underside of the car is fully detailed and not covered in waxoil which is great to see. The trafficators work perfectly as you would expect, the iconic radiator has been recored and refurbished at a cost of £2000, each and every finn operates perfectly.Wheels, Tyres & BrakesFully restored disc wheels with lovely Rolls-Royce centres, the side wheel carrier is also immaculate.Engine & TransmissionThe 6 cylinder in-line overhead valve engine was fully rebuilt in 1990 at a cost of £10,000 with invoices to prove. She has only covered 6500 miles since the rebuild and can only be described as perfect she ticks like a quality Swiss watch. We understand that in the early years servicing has been carried out by Jack Barclay of Chelsea and there is a plack under the engine bay supporting this.
