1985 TALBOT SOLARA GLS AUTOHello and thanks for looking!  Welcome to my auction for a (now rare) Talbot Solara GLS.  The car shows as having four owners from new but the reality is that it was owned by an elderly gentleman from new, I was the second owner who then registered it to my brother (a fellow enthusiast) who has just signed it back over to me, so two families from new!I have been slimming down my collection of Peugeot/Talbot vehicles recently and this is the next to be offered for sale.  The car is showing 84,500 miles and has recently passed it's MOT having just been re-commissioned by ourselves.  I have since been driving her to work and back for a couple of weeks (45 mile round trip) and she has behaved faultlessly.  This is credit to the amount of work that has been carried out on this vehicle by both the Technical adviser for the Talbot/Simca owners club and myself throughout my ownership.This car is a very solid example and both the MOT tester that I use along with several colleagues at work have commented on her condition.  It is only due to a lack of time and storage space that I have to let her go.  As with any twenty eight year old car there are few minor issues worth mentioning.  1) There are a few marks around the car, mainly a scratch on one of the rear doors and, 2) A scuff on the front bumper (both pictured), 3) the lower leading edge of each rear wheel arch had a spot of welding for the last MOT and have been treated with gold hammerite (not perfect but functional and matching!), 4) The spring on the exhaust down pipe have become loose and has started to rattle on tick over (common and an easy fix) and finally, 5) The headlining is sagging in places (again common with these cars).On the whole a taxed and MOT'd example which with very little work could be perfect.There is also a large number of parts that can go with the car including spare lights, indicators, spare steering wheel. etcThis is truly one for the enthusiast and I would really like her to go to a good home.  Please only bid if you intend to buy.  Do not turn up and haggle as I have had previous experience of this and it is most annoying!If you wish to contact me regarding this vehicle or wish to view her (advised with any old car) then please call Jim on, 07958 373430.Good luck and Happy Bidding!!
