Hello and welcome to my auction

1964 (B reg)Vauxhall Viva HA

Taxed until Oct 2012 MOT'd until Nov 2012

Purchased in Dec 2011, probably on a "heart rules the head" whim.

Only one previous owner 1964 - 2010, and 34,000 on the clock (genuine)

The car drives really nice, very light with good visibility all round. Quite nippy too, engine sounds very quiet on tickover.

BUT!

There seems to be a problem, its not a massive problem, but a problem all the same. I don't think it has got the correct carburettor fitted, as sometimes whilst driving it will cut out and can be difficult to start. I have replaced most of the electrical parts: Points, condensor, rotor arm, plugs and plug leads. I have also replaced the fuel pump and coil. I'm only guessing the problem is the carburettor, it could be something else totally different, maybe the timing? I'm not sure myself, hopefully it maybe an easy fix for someone. As I said, it runs very nice when its running / driving.

The car itself has been sprayed in the past (badly) and could do with a respray, although it looks presentable and could be used as it is. The drivers door is a slightly different shade to the rest of the car (this can be seen in the photos) The interior is in good condition for the age, and the seats are also very comfortable.
