Launched in 1965, the Silver Shadow was the first ‘modern’ Rolls-Royce with a monocoque body, aluminium doors, boot and bonnet and no separate chassis. Other innovations included a fully hydraulic braking system, based on Citroen patents, that included four wheel discs, twin circuits and rear self-levelling suspension. Squat and purposeful on the outside but still aristocratically luxurious on the inside, it was perfectly timed to attract the nouveau gentry of the Swinging Sixties who were more likely to have made their money from business, pop or fashion than inheriting it from the ancestors. Even today, to slip behind the wheel of a well kept Shadow is to enter a different world where every journey is an occasion and the feelgood factor is off the scale. Beautifully crafted, technically advanced and good to drive, it sold like no Rolls-Royce before or since with 37,000 examples rolling from the Crewe production line before it was replaced by the Silver Spirit in 1980. Over 2,000 improvements were made along the way, the most important being the introduction of the 6,750cc engine and GM three-speed box in 1970, radial tyres in 1972 and the launch of the Shadow II in 1977, though this rather lost the looks of the earlier car with chunky rubber bumpers in place of the more elegant chrome items. Our car here is a series 1 example which has been in the same ownership and in regular use for the last ten years. It has a new MOT and Tax and is ready to be driven away. The body is very straight and clean in White with only a little overspray visible on the inner wheelarches. There is no rust bubbling anywhere and the chrome is also nearly perfect. The car covered a believed genuine 120,000 miles from new and we have an almost full service history going back to nearly new. The interior is worn as the mileage would suggest and would benefit from a little connolising although it is not ripped or torn. The colour is a light grey/green and it is matched by a coachline on the car. The car starts and drives as it should and has been regularly looked after by its previous enthusiast owner. It is a great car that presents very well and it suitable for regualar use or could also be put to work if neccessary. The car aslo comes with the attractive number plate RDG318. If you have seen the other cheap Shadows out there, we think you will pleasantly surprised by this one at this price.

1968 Dodge Charger General Lee

 This is a very nice General Lee with a built 440 and beautiful sounding dual exhaust. The paint was done a couple of years ago and has a beautiful finish on a good solid and straight rust free body and undercarriage. The interior was just done in a very nice vinyl with Suede inserts on the seats and door panels. This General screams muscle standing still or going down the road. It is equipped with a 440 V8 edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor, 727 automatic transmission, and new dual exhaust with headers, 3 inch tips, turbine rims, RWL BFG tyres, and the proper general decals. This is a great looking car that is guaranteed to turn heads every where you go..

Rare lhd Citroen Traction Avant originally built in France in 1957 and imported to the UK in 1984 and correctly registered her. I have owned the car since 2008 and used it for occasional shows and local weddings. She is a wonderful beast and is nippy with magnificent roadholding. It is said to be the first car with front wheel drive and rear opening door. It was made to suit the family man or the butcher or baker or wine maker during working hours to rear load his stock. The internal space also suits a bride etc and is longer than the standard model. The original white bodywork has a few blemishes but should be quite acceptable to someone not looking for a concourse model

She runs exceptionally well though the 3 speed gearbox requires a different style of driving as it is dasboard mounted and syncro is on top 2 gears only. Double declutching is an old skill!

The trim is in original style and I have had a new cloth headlining fitted. I love her dearly but get little time to use her. I will obtain a new Mot upon sale but there are still 2 months left.

This car is a true investment, totally practical and is better than money in a dodgy bank. Please come and see her on sunny Hayling Island in Hampshire.

VOLVO P1800 ES 1972 AUTOMATIC (AMAZON)

 Spairs or repair

 As it was manufactured Dec 1972 this road tax free P1800 ES automatic for spares or repair. After several years of regular use my P1800 needed welding at a cost of £2500. Not being a welder, and not having £2500 the car has  sat unloved for 6 years under tarpaulin on hard standing.

It is a shame because the engine was in good condition having benefitted from new cam, new water pump, steel timing gears and front and rear o ring conversion. The auto gear box was overhauled. There was a new radiator, s/s exhaust, brake master cylinder,  brake discs, calipers and brakelines but can no longer vouch for these being in good condition.

The usual areas are rusty – door lowers, front of wings, outer sills, driver floor area,offside threquarter valance,  off side seems worse than the near side.-

Included is the extensive history receipts, vovlo w/s manuals, literature and some spares including some if teh necessary reapir panels.

Buyer to pick up within 5 days of winning the auction. The item is adverstised elsewhere so I resevre the right to withdraw at any time.

Up for sale – 1979 Reliant Scimitar GTE overdrive.I’ve owned this wonderful car for 5 years and bought it from an enthusiast who really looked after it.I only really use it as a fun car for weekend runs out of town so I’ve only done a couple of thousand miles in it.

The car’s in pretty good condition running-wise – starts easily, good oil pressure, doesn’t overheat, plus had a new engine fitted at 67000 miles.

Outside, the paintjob has faded a bit in the sun and there are patches where the red has worn thin, but the car comes up lovely after a wax.There is one obvious scrape on the driver’s side front (as seen in the photo).5 very stylish Wolfrace alloy slots come with the car.

Inside, there are no rips in the camel cloth seats and all the Smiths dials work. Some of the plastic around the cockpit has cracked and the shelf above the dash has warped – but remember we are talking about a 30 year old car.There is a pullout tape player that you can play your iPod through as it’s got a line-in socket. I’ve still got the original radio which is thrown in.The steering wheel is a Mountney and goes well with the car. The original is thrown in.

Other spares: new fog lights, lots of pipes and belts – I’ve even got a spare windscreen somewhere.

Lots of (incomplete) paperwork history to go with the car including all bills and MOTs since I bought it. Also, the very handy workshop manual and owner’s handbook.
