Aston Martin V8 Volante (Reproduction)DMS Bullet body conversion on Ford Capri MK1 3 Litre.*** REGISTERED AS HISTORIC VEHICLE ***3.1L V6 restored Ford Essex engine, weber 38 carb.  Runs on unleaded.Professionally strengthened by previous owner at cost of 5K.*** EXTREMELY RARE VEHICLE POSSIBLY ONLY HANDFUL STILL EXIST ***Sounds amazing and a proper head turner !NO TYRE KICKERS, DREAMERS OR WASTERS.  CAR BEING RE-ADVERTISED DUE TO A SERIOUS TIMEWASTER.DO NOT BID ON THIS CAR UNLESS YOU INTEND TO PURCHASE.  THE PRICE SOLD FOR AT AUCTION IS WHAT YOU PAY.  NO HAGGLING OR RENEGOTIATION.12 MONTHS MOT AND 12 MONTHS TAXThis took 2 years of my life to restore and I am an extremely busy person which is why I'm taking such an intolerant line with timewasters.Will need a few minor jobs doing on it here and there including a carb tune but nothing major.If I was able to keep the car then these are the jobs I consider to be outstanding, and they really are trivial.1.    Strip / clean carb and setup paying particular attention to the correct operation of the water choke which is currently coming off too soon.2.    Rewire the thermostatic unit on the kenlow fan to route properly to the fuse box.  Currently attached directly to battery as temporary measure.  Kenlow is otherwise wired up properly to an override switch on the dashboard.3.    Fit an axel anti-tramp kit to stop axel chatter when booting it away from a roundabout.  (Capri club international sell these for around £150)4.    Remove the temporary rear brake flexihose and replace with the original spec pipe.5.    Just generally tidy up bits of trim and just give the paint a generally good polish.  There are one or two patches which require further buffing.   The paint is Ford Graphite Grey and around 11L of crystalcote lacquer were used to get the finish.   Under that there’s a gel coat then the fibreglass and in most cases the original body panel!  It took 2 months to rub down the gel coat for painting and 4 months to rub down the lacquer and G3 it.  Clearly there are one or two places (bottom of wheel arch or underneath of bumper) where application of G3 will polish up the patches where the polishing has missed.  These are very few and far between and easily sorted in a few hours.  The paint job is very good generally and much better than on most modern cars.  It is not fault free, but pretty damned good.6.    During restoration, one or two bits of trim, eg. On the doors, became loose, or at least not as tightly fitted as original.  It’s jobs like these, mainly the little ones which are pleasurable to do that are outstanding.  (actually the adhesion of the glue became weaker on the trimming fabric due to other chemicals used on the paintwork etc.).  Easily and cheaply sorted nonetheless.7.    Silly little rectifications need to be made (caused by the previous owner).  The headlights are beautifully set but unfortunately you can’t get access to the bulbs.  An access panel is easy to cut underneath and it’s a straightforward job on an easy to access body panel.  The battery tray is custom made and nicely fitted but unfortunately prevents access to the oil filter.  Doh!  Could be moved to the boot perhaps.8.    Fully test the coolant system following the introduction of the thermostatic fan.  Is the right temperature range coolant cap being used for example and is the fan cutting in at the right temp (there’s an adjuster for this).9.    Reduce the friction in the electric window mechanism so they run a bit freer.  Just ran out of time on this.10.    Reinforce rear seat by adding board underneath.11.    Add a toneau cover for the soft top when folded which clips to the press studs.12.    Modify the seat mountings we made to allow people taller than 5’10” to be able to drive it.  This is a case of dropping a few extra holes in the base plate.  Drivers seat goes forward beautifully but not back as far as some would like.  In short I set it in the wrong place, suited for me in fact!Right. I have probably done the car down a bit now but I have tried to be as honest and accurate as possible!I can ship the car to you but would need to arrange with successful bidder.Any questions please call me on 077 2505 2505 but try to avoid calling during office hours.

AUSTIN HEALEY 3000 MKIII BJ8 LHD, 2 Doors, Manual 4 speed, Roadster, Petrol, 1967 E Reg, Blue. A beautiful original Left Hand Drive Healey 3000 BJ8. Manual with Overdrive, wire wheels, navy blue upholstery and soft top. This car was imported from the states in 1988. It has excellent panel gaps all round and the doors close very nicely. The car drives exceptionally well and gives you real confidence. The brakes are strong and pull the car up straight. This is not a show car to be trailered round, it has its original upholstery and wood which is all in good condition. Driving this car is addictive, once you start you won't want to stop!! Austin A35 with vauxhall astra engine, 1.4    Ford type 9   5 speed gear box. This was a professional conversion by a company  that builds rally cars and cost £2,600 several years ago. I have all the paperwork.

To make perfect this car would need new carpets, and some new or better chrome and there is a rust spot on the boot lid. In the pictures you can see some of the paint is flaking off on the front panel.


The car will have its original steering wheel and not the one as seen in the pictures. And no tow bar.

Description

This classic Austin 7 RP Box Saloon has been subject to a previous restoration and is still in excellent condition.

The car was registered new in May 1934 and still retains it's original transferable registration number AXX700. This number itself has a value but we hope that the buyer retains the number on the car as to remove it would be a sacrilege.

As the car is a 1934 model it has the more useful four speed gearbox and has the starter motor under the bonnet which gives more room in the passenger cabin than earlier models.

It has also had the very sensible upgrade of hydraulic brakes all round which means that the car will stop when required.

The MOT and free Historic Road Tax run until April 2013 and the V5 log book shows that it has only had five owners in it's 78 year life.

The Austin 7 is well supported by numerous owners clubs who can be relied upon to help keep these wonderful historic cars on the road.

We try to describe all vehicles as accurately as we can and we show a full range of photographs to help you determine the condition of the vehicle. If you are unsure of anything relating to condition, please phone to clarify. Buyers are deemed to have inspected and approved any vehicle they buy. Please remember that these vehicles are not new and that they have been subject to wear and tear. As such, they are offered for sale on a trade sale basis with no warranty.

Viewing
All vehicles are available for viewing by appointment during normal business hours (9am-4.30pm Monday to Friday). Saturday and Sunday viewing by arrangement.

Payments
We can only accept bank tranfer, bankers draft or cash on collection as payment. If you intend to pay by bankers draft then we need to know the draft details and the issuing branch (with contact details) before collection of vehicle. No other forms of payment are accepted.

Delivery
Vehicles will only be delivered after full payment has been received.
