Here we have my much loved Toyota Celica ST162 in the now very rare Two Tone Metallic Blue. I have owned the car now for 3 and a half years and have kept this car fastidiously Maintained. The car is in great useable condition. I have serviced the car myself for the last three years previous to this by independent dealers and Toyota. The Interior of the car is almost immaculate with the exception of a small split in the dashboard adjacent to the instrument binnacle. The Seats are in amazing shape (and I am very picky). Everything on this car works with only one exception the auto aerial (a simple fix perhaps).During my tenure I have: refurbished all alloy wheels including the spare.Had centre section and back box of the exhaust system replaced.Had the Aircon system updated to R134a gas and a new receiver fitted.Had a very high end Nakamichi including in dash 6 CD player fitted (600GBP)Custom fitted Matts (autostyle.co.uk)Replaced the auto gear box with a spare from TCB in Cornwall.Fitted a GRP sunroof an new seal.The Cambelt was changed during 2007.I have had a new radiator fitted in 2010 always changed coolant annually.As the car is 24 years old the exterior is not perfect I have had two small patches welded to both sills near both rear wheels. There is a patch of blistered paint work above the tail gate glass. All wheel arches show signs of light corrosion and the drivers side at the rear has some lacquer peeling.I thoroughly recommend viewing, you wont be disappointed! All in all a great Car for not much money. Aston Martin V8 Volante (Reproduction)DMS Bullet body conversion on Ford Capri MK1 3 Litre.*** REGISTERED AS HISTORIC VEHICLE ***3.1L V6 restored Ford Essex engine, weber 38 carb.  Runs on unleaded.Professionally strengthened by previous owner at cost of 5K.*** EXTREMELY RARE VEHICLE POSSIBLY ONLY HANDFUL STILL EXIST ***Sounds amazing and a proper head turner !NO TYRE KICKERS, DREAMERS OR WASTERS.  CAR BEING RE-ADVERTISED DUE TO A SERIOUS TIMEWASTER.DO NOT BID ON THIS CAR UNLESS YOU INTEND TO PURCHASE.  THE PRICE SOLD FOR AT AUCTION IS WHAT YOU PAY.  NO HAGGLING OR RENEGOTIATION.12 MONTHS MOT AND 12 MONTHS TAXThis took 2 years of my life to restore and I am an extremely busy person which is why I'm taking such an intolerant line with timewasters.Will need a few minor jobs doing on it here and there including a carb tune but nothing major.If I was able to keep the car then these are the jobs I consider to be outstanding, and they really are trivial.1.    Strip / clean carb and setup paying particular attention to the correct operation of the water choke which is currently coming off too soon.2.    Rewire the thermostatic unit on the kenlow fan to route properly to the fuse box.  Currently attached directly to battery as temporary measure.  Kenlow is otherwise wired up properly to an override switch on the dashboard.3.    Fit an axel anti-tramp kit to stop axel chatter when booting it away from a roundabout.  (Capri club international sell these for around £150)4.    Remove the temporary rear brake flexihose and replace with the original spec pipe.5.    Just generally tidy up bits of trim and just give the paint a generally good polish.  There are one or two patches which require further buffing.   The paint is Ford Graphite Grey and around 11L of crystalcote lacquer were used to get the finish.   Under that there’s a gel coat then the fibreglass and in most cases the original body panel!  It took 2 months to rub down the gel coat for painting and 4 months to rub down the lacquer and G3 it.  Clearly there are one or two places (bottom of wheel arch or underneath of bumper) where application of G3 will polish up the patches where the polishing has missed.  These are very few and far between and easily sorted in a few hours.  The paint job is very good generally and much better than on most modern cars.  It is not fault free, but pretty damned good.6.    During restoration, one or two bits of trim, eg. On the doors, became loose, or at least not as tightly fitted as original.  It’s jobs like these, mainly the little ones which are pleasurable to do that are outstanding.  (actually the adhesion of the glue became weaker on the trimming fabric due to other chemicals used on the paintwork etc.).  Easily and cheaply sorted nonetheless.7.    Silly little rectifications need to be made (caused by the previous owner).  The headlights are beautifully set but unfortunately you can’t get access to the bulbs.  An access panel is easy to cut underneath and it’s a straightforward job on an easy to access body panel.  The battery tray is custom made and nicely fitted but unfortunately prevents access to the oil filter.  Doh!  Could be moved to the boot perhaps.8.    Fully test the coolant system following the introduction of the thermostatic fan.  Is the right temperature range coolant cap being used for example and is the fan cutting in at the right temp (there’s an adjuster for this).9.    Reduce the friction in the electric window mechanism so they run a bit freer.  Just ran out of time on this.10.    Reinforce rear seat by adding board underneath.11.    Add a toneau cover for the soft top when folded which clips to the press studs.12.    Modify the seat mountings we made to allow people taller than 5’10” to be able to drive it.  This is a case of dropping a few extra holes in the base plate.  Drivers seat goes forward beautifully but not back as far as some would like.  In short I set it in the wrong place, suited for me in fact!Right. I have probably done the car down a bit now but I have tried to be as honest and accurate as possible!I can ship the car to you but would need to arrange with successful bidder.Any questions please call me on 077 2505 2505 but try to avoid calling during office hours.

I am selling my 1968 Triumph Vitesse convertible. It is a 2 litre straight six engine with an original convertible body/chassis.

I have had this car since early 2009 and it has been a great vehicle. However, a recent change of job means I do not get the time to use it as much any more and so I have decided to sell it.

When I use the car, which is at least a couple of times a month, it has been perfectly reliable – starts every time and never breaks down. Last summer, I took the car out on a week-long trip across the UK, travelling from Kent to Blackpool and back. Over the 800-odd miles, the car performed fantastically well, starting first time every time and never missing a beat. The look on drivers’ faces as I roared passed them in the outside lane of the M6 was priceless! I cannot stress just how reliable this car is and how quick it goes.

As you can see from the photos, it is in good overall condition. It looks stunning and runs very well. Here’s a few notes to help you learn more about the car....

Overall, the car is in very good condition. It is not showroom concourse condition, but it’s a lot better than many I see about. It has the odd job here and there needing attention (e.g. stiff driver’s window, indicator bulb on the dashboard does not flash with the side indicators, there’s a bit of a rattle from the handbrake sometimes, etc.). These are all very small niggles (which comes with owning a 40-plus year old car), and are nothing major. Overall though, the car is great.

MOT – the car sailed through its last three MOTs. Next MOT is due 19 May 2013.

ORIGINAL CONVERTIBLE – the car has a ‘CV’ chassis plate, which means it is an original convertible and left the factory as such.

OVERDRIVE – on the steering wheel. Works perfectly.

HISTORY – I don’t know the full history of the car, but I believe it was restored quite recently, most likely in the last 10 years (my guess). I say this because the paintwork and most of the interior is relatively new. The paintwork is shining red and the lining, carpet and seats look quite new. Whoever did this left some original pieces, such as the dashboard, steering wheel and sun visors.

PAINTWORK – lovely gleaming signal red. It looks really amazing when it’s washed and polished up. There is one crack on the front of the bonnet, just behind the ‘H’ in the chrome TRIUMPH letters, about the size of a 10p piece.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM – perfect!!! Better than perfect!!! When I first got the car, I replaced the dynamo with a brand new alternator (complete with conversion kit). I also replaced the plugs, leads, distributor cap, contacts, condenser and battery with all new parts. In fact, I replaced the battery with a huge HB075 model with 520 amps of cranking power and it has never let me down since.

INTERIOR – looks great. Carpets and door trim are black with red piping. There are a couple of small holes in the driver’s seat, one where a spring has poked through, but apart from that it’s great.

UNDERNEATH – I’m not an expert in this area, but it all looks good to me. When I first bought the car, I had it fully checked over by my local MG specialist, and he told me the underframe/chassis is perfect.

ENGINE – perfect. Comes complete with a pair of K&N air filters.  Has its original engine.

STORAGE - has been kept under cover every single day that I have owned it.

USEAGE – I have used this car on a regular basis (i.e. most weeks), which keeps it in good working order.

RELIABILITY – I think I have covered this a few times already. The car is ultra-reliable.

TSSC – I am a member of the Triumph Sports Six Club. They are a great bunch of people, in terms of help, support, advice and a chat over a beer. Well worth joining.

OVERDRIVE – on the steering wheel. Works perfectly.

INSURANCE – for your information, it cost me £68 this year.

ROAD TAX – no cost. Free. Nil. Zero.

HOOD – Not new, but it works. I have taken a close-up photo of one of the rear corners, where the seam has come apart. Worth replacing this and the tonneau cover some time, but not an immediate one. A few of the press studs on the tonneau cover no longer click in, I suggest replacing this.

REAR SEAT BELTS – I had these fitted to my last Triumph Vitesse at a cost of about £500 (Quikfit in Stanmore, Middlesex – check out their website for details). When I sold that one, I had them removed and fitted to this car. The Vitesse was originally built without rear seatbelts and you will find that not many have had them installed.

FRONT SEAT BELTS – recently installed  brand new period style static lap and diagnols, with high shine chrome buckles. These look amazing. Bought form Quickfit (again, see details above) for about £140, though cost a lot more than that to fit!

I am selling my 1972, G series , Mk3 Jensen Interceptor. Finished in Old English white with black leather interior. I have recently acquired her birth certificate and substantial build file from Jensen factory records and have plenty of history on file. She's Mot'd and taxed and in great condition for her age.She was manufactured in December 1971 and delivered to Moore Of Brighton who sold it to a Mr R I Cahn esq. of Littlehampton in early 1972. Here we have my very 1966 series 1 mk2 cortina 2 door delux model which has undergone a full restoration to the bodywork inside and out, It was originaly blue but i decided to change it to ermine white as i intended to turn it into a lotus rep, the restoration was all done to a very high standard with no expence spared it had original ford steel front wings fitted, new rear arches, new top plates and a rust free bonnet, the floor pans and sills are all perfect and have been fully undersealed, there is no rust on this shell at all.

The engine is a 1500cc brand new ford crated engine 5 crank bearing with 6 bolt flywheel the head was removed before fitting and converted to unleaded by gosneys engineering, it has a 4 branch gt manifold and exhaust system and gt carb fitted

It is fitted with 4 x minilite wheels with matching tyres

It was fitted with new front and rear windscreen rubbers and a new roof lining.

The interior is all complete the front seats and dash top could do with retrimming

Mot until september and the road tax is august but is tax exempt (free)

can be driven home with no problems

If you need an urbane, indestructible and slightly quirky coupe, the C70 fits the bill. The 2.4T cars are the most impressive, combining a fair amount of power with a sweet, tractable and reasonably fuel-efficient engine. Don't think the T5 models will keep up with BMW M3s or Audi S4s on twisty roads, but instead buy one if you want to cover big distances quickly. In short, one of the better boulevard cruisers. The Volvo C70 was possibly the first Volvo since the P1800 of the sixties that didn't look as if it was designed with rulers and setsquares. It's elegant fusion of compound curves and taut sheet metal was an instant hit, and further enhanced the credibility Volvo was gaining through touring car racing. The brand had metamorphosed from something only driven by schoolteachers and harmless eccentrics into something genuinely desirable. The C70 was launched in the UK in June 1997 with a one-model range. The engine available was the powerful 2.3-litre T5 turbocharged five-cylinder 193bhp light-pressure turbocharged five-cylinder engine. This model was more correctly renamed the 2.4T in April 1999, as its capacity was 2435cc. In a straight line the T5 models can mix it with M3s and quick Mercs. In the 2.3 T5, rest to sixty takes just 6.9s on the way to an artificially limited top speed of some 155mph. So far so good. Volvo is quite capable of producing luxurious mile-munchers and has a stable of potent engines. Where the Swedes have no track record is in producing BMW-bashing standards of handling.Wisely then, they turned to Walkinshaw; Tom Walkinshaw, he of TWR, the outfit that runs the Arrows Formula One Team and developed the Jaguar XJ220. The company, too, that took the boxy Volvo 850 and turned it into a race-winning force in the British Touring Car Championship. The Kidlington-based operation specialises in chassis engineering and had a hand in the car's development. However, without recourse to silk purse/sow's ear comparisons, the C70 is always going to be a punchy front-wheel drive car, so to expect it to handle like a sporty BMW is perhaps aiming a bit high.No, it isn't a BMW M3 - but then, given its Grand Touring aspirations, it could hardly afford to be. By far the best option is the 2.4T engine with an automatic box, as this best suits the car's gentle nature. The T5 models try rather too hard to be sporting, and the sad truth is the basic chassis layout just isn't good enough. If you want a rapid motorway and A-road car, the T5 is great, but it just won't destroy corners with the aplomb of many coupe rivals or, indeed, many more prosaic saloons. Turn-in is crisp; but ride quality could be slightly better. The convertible models suffer from very little body distortion and are beautifully finished; again the 2.4T engine is the most satisfying bet. The 2.0-litre models try hard but are ultimately a little breathless in such a heavy car.

You have the opportunity to purchase a very desirable 1972 MGB Roadster with chrome bumpers, wire wheels and the sought after 4 speed gearbox with overdrive.


 


The car is being advertised as requiring light restoration as it has been stored in a heated garage for the last 23 years which has helped preserve the car so well. All the expensive and time consuming welding has already been carried out and completed, this includes heritage panels, front wings, rear wings, sill sections, and the list goes on. All the panels have been installed and welded to an extremely high standard as your will see in the photos. The underside of the car is rust free and must have taken weeks to complete. The exterior wings are also fitted to a high standard only showing very minor surface rust along some of the seams.


 


Registered in the UK in 1972 on a ‘K’ plate, (Tax exempt) it has the 4 speed gearbox with overdrive. All the original body mouldings, chrome trims are present and all are in excellent condition. The original factory convertible top is fully operational with working framework, but will require and new hood material. The car has the original factory 14” chrome wire wheel and hubs, which require cosmetic refurbishment only and are fully functioning and unbuckled. The spare wheel is the correct wire wheel also.


The odometer is reading 29,000, which I wouldn’t presume to be correct given the car is 40 years old. There is a file of paperwork with the car which details lots of maintenance and repair work prior to being stored, included old MoT certificates.


After 23 years the car was started today, new battery, re-commissioned fuel pump, new fluids and some petrol and she started up first time, no dramas, good oil pressure, holding fluids and running sweetly apart from a very worn out water pump bearing (the water pump will be replaced in the next couple of days). The clutch is working fine, engaging all gears and the vehicle moves forward and backwards as it should. The overdrive units operation hasn’t been tested yet.


I have the full V5 registration document. This car is totally original and standard with even its original working radio, and has an expensive stainless steel exhaust system. The car has had majority of the hard work already carried out and this will make an ideal project for an enthusiast or collector. These are very sought after cars and are commanding extremely high prices in the current marketplace and represent exceptional value for money whilst becoming extremely rewarding investments.
