Classic mini project. 1989 AUSTIN MINI 1000 CITY E REDMOT ran out in 2004 and the mini hasn't moved since, due to sub frame going - although sub frame did get replaced. Also we do have a spare rear subframe.At the time of MOT running out the clutch had gone. rust in various areas. Obviously general wear and tear has happened over the years since being sat unmoved. The mini hasn't started in years, we have the keys for it. Dent on drivers side door, unable to show in pictures due to position of mini. Both doors on mini but rusty in the usual places. 1985 TALBOT SOLARA GLS AUTOHello and thanks for looking!  Welcome to my auction for a (now rare) Talbot Solara GLS.  The car shows as having four owners from new but the reality is that it was owned by an elderly gentleman from new, I was the second owner who then registered it to my brother (a fellow enthusiast) who has just signed it back over to me, so two families from new!I have been slimming down my collection of Peugeot/Talbot vehicles recently and this is the next to be offered for sale.  The car is showing 84,500 miles and has recently passed it's MOT having just been re-commissioned by ourselves.  I have since been driving her to work and back for a couple of weeks (45 mile round trip) and she has behaved faultlessly.  This is credit to the amount of work that has been carried out on this vehicle by both the Technical adviser for the Talbot/Simca owners club and myself throughout my ownership.This car is a very solid example and both the MOT tester that I use along with several colleagues at work have commented on her condition.  It is only due to a lack of time and storage space that I have to let her go.  As with any twenty eight year old car there are few minor issues worth mentioning.  1) There are a few marks around the car, mainly a scratch on one of the rear doors and, 2) A scuff on the front bumper (both pictured), 3) the lower leading edge of each rear wheel arch had a spot of welding for the last MOT and have been treated with gold hammerite (not perfect but functional and matching!), 4) The spring on the exhaust down pipe have become loose and has started to rattle on tick over (common and an easy fix) and finally, 5) The headlining is sagging in places (again common with these cars).On the whole a taxed and MOT'd example which with very little work could be perfect.There is also a large number of parts that can go with the car including spare lights, indicators, spare steering wheel. etcThis is truly one for the enthusiast and I would really like her to go to a good home.  Please only bid if you intend to buy.  Do not turn up and haggle as I have had previous experience of this and it is most annoying!If you wish to contact me regarding this vehicle or wish to view her (advised with any old car) then please call Jim on, 07958 373430.Good luck and Happy Bidding!!

This is "Tarquin"..my Girlfriends Nissan Sunny that she has owned since 1998. Ideal retro ride project...not many N13, 3 door models left


Tarquin had been in regular use until 2 years ago when Sarah changed her job and no longer needed a car to commute in. The time has come to pass him on to a new home as he just isn't getting used any more,  My classic car took over the indoor parking and the Sunny now sits on the street , we live 40 yds from the sea and that has started to take it's toll.


The good bits..he has road tax and MOT until mid summer..he's had a new exhaust, front discs, rear wheel cylinders, front pads and rear shoes fitted over the last few years. In the past 15 years he has passed almost every MOT with minimal effort..normally nothing more than a tyre or windscreen wiper. He has jump started almost every one of my cars..without fail he has been the most reliable car in our house. On a long run  he often returns about 40 mpg at motorway speeds...it really is surprisingly economical and the 5 speed gear box still feels good.


The not so good bits..he's just clocked up 100,000 miles. Both front window mechanisms have failed..these are manual window winders but electrics could be retro fitted. The drivers seat is falling to bits. The dash electrics sometimes fail to come on..this only happens on start up so turn it off and normally they come on 2nd attempt..dodgy electrics in the switch???..this doesn't affect starting or the cars running..just the dash/clock electrics. The body isn't at it's best..there are a few small blisters and a small hole in the top of the drivers door...nothing a bit of filler won't sort..ideally a re-spray. The original radio has long gone and the current one fitted will be removed..the aerial was snapped off a long time ago.


Tarquin would be ideal as a cheap run around or as a retro ride project. Viewing no problem, bid to buy..not to haggle. No messers..no dreamers.


The car is in Worthing..West Sussex and really needs to be moved by Feb 13th as the insurance runs out on that day.

 Hi all, here we have my Rover mini rio up for sale. Sadly she needs to go as i know longer have time or the budget to deal with her. Im just going to be totally honest as she needs to be gone asap rather than just sitting where she is.I got her about a year ago hoping to do her justice and finish her by this time. It was originally grey primer and patches of turquoise when i first bought it and since then has been resprayed tartan red about 9 months ago, was running it a few times a week until the handbrake became unattached and wouldn't work. So for the past 3 months it has been on my mum and dads drive not doing much as i had no budget left.Since ive had it its had loads done to get it right, new paint, new mirrors, new seals, engine has been out to sort the gear box and speedo correction. Its also had new wipers, new ht leads, new sparks,  etc etc. This is a project to finish and would be nice for someone to take it who knows more about minis as this is my first. Been honest there is still bits to do, i would have to say come see for yourself. It did turnover but checked this morning and think starter motor has gone. i would say it needs to be trailored away as its not running, was running bit iffy before i think this is down to the needle and jet been changed and needing a tune. The upside to the car is its a really nice solid shell and nice paint job done.All it needs is some TLC from the right person. I have most receipts for what ive had done. There is mot on it till feb sometime and tax ran out end of jan so declared SORN. Please ask if you want to know anything i will try my best to answer. Ive spent alot of time and money on this car but if needs more than what i can give it. Car is cheap to go quick will accept sensible offers as im already losing money.Other stuff i remember, new arches, new door handles, new boot lock, new boot light all chrome. There is also new reg plates (to fit), new headlights,new gear knob, new speedo cable, new wing mirrors, new badge, new spots not wired up.  Also to note when i got the car it had been completely undersealed and had new brake pipes fitted.Also just put in new braided fuel pipe. Needs to go so quick sale reduced £1450 bargain at this price.More stuff i have remembered, had new scuttle panel and rear valance before respray, also has been de-seamed under head lights and under windscreen where there is always rust problems. added picNow declared Sorn but can be taxed if wanted.No reserve happy bidding.  Require £100.00 deposit from winning bidder within 24 hours. Starting at £5000 with no reserve 1970 Lancia 2000
(Flavia) Berlina registered 1972, first registered in UK 2006 and I
am the second owner. Very original and unusual Italian car ordered in
RHD and with 4 speed gearbox,, power steering and servo brakes.
Chassis# 820211003518 Fresh MOT and Tax. .

Bodywork & Exterior
trim: Original Lancia Blue paint is generally in good condition for a
year, most probably has been touched up over the years but to good
standard. As you can see from the pictures it is very presentable but
on closer inspection there are a few flat spots where overpolishing
has worn the paint. There are also a couple of small bubbles, one on
a top front wing and a few at the bottoms of the front doors.
Unfortunately I found it impossible to capture them with the camera.The subframe is in superb condition and so are the mounts. Other than those spots there is no rust to be found anywhere. Most of
the chrome trim and bumpers are stainless therefore very well
preserved and look pretty much faultless. All the window and door
rubber is in good condition and there are no interior leaks.
Underneath it's all solid and the car has been professionally
waxoyled throughout.

Engine & Gearbox:
Solex 36ICH carbureted 2L flat four boxer Flavia engine keeps very
good oil pressure (including at idle) is smooth and returns 30mpg.
Religiously serviced, just had a recent service and a tune up.
Carburettor has been completely rebuilt, ultrasonically cleaned, all
gaskets and membranes changed, several parts replaced all tuned as
per manual. 4 Speed gearbox has a smooth change even when cold,
recent oil change and properly adjusted clutch. Power steering works
well and the steering fluid has been recently changed and filter
cleaned. Cooling system is in good condition with automatic electric
fan operating correctly, never overheats even in heavy traffic.

Chassis & Brakes:
Original Dunlop disc brakes front and back. Recent brand new discs
and calipers and a fresh servo and master cylinder rebuild. Cream
painted steel wheels are fitted with new Avon tyres. Recent replaced
shock absorbers and some suspension bushes.

Interior &
Electrics: Everything works as it should, including all the
instruments and even the dash clock keeps perfect time. Overall the
interior is fantastically preserved, the seats have no rips or
unusual wear, headlining is nice, carpets are very good. The dash is
in incredible condition, real wood is like new, all knobs and levers
are perfect. All the ventilation and heating work as they should.

It truly is a well
preserved gem in a time-warp condition with original Italian
paperwork (one owner from new), lots of quirky original touches like
original Italian first aid kit, little stick on badge of a Rallye
Lancia Bolognia, original stereo, original optional rear window
curtains.

It is in my opinion one
of the best Lancias I have ever owned and the best kept secret in
Lancia world. Flavias are absolutely fantastic and very usable –
you will be cruising all day well above the legal speed limit in
comfort and doing 30mpg. Unfortunately an expensive B20 project and
other things are forcing me to sell it, I hope it goes to someone who
will properly appreciate it for what it is – a wonderful piece of
Lancia History!
